Classes end for 2005

Hi everyone,

Please note that today's evening session will be the last formal session of tai chi training for the year....sad but true!

Sifu John is travelling overseas the following week, so will not be available until the leadership program begins early next year - more on that later!

Achievements
Thank you to all members for your enthusiastic participation this year - we have accomplished a lot! What was 2005 like for us?
  1. We began the year with a flurry of new members, which took our membership to over 30 this year!
  2. Our Office Bearers were voted in in June: Brendan, Alvin, Sven, Marg and Anthony - all of whom have been wonderful advocates and supported for the Club - thanks guys! :o)
  3. We increased our public 'face' by holding some successful demonstrations, including a tai chi demonstration to open multicultural week in August, as well as outdoor demos - good work everyone!
  4. and...next year lookslike being even more fun, with the introduction of the Leadership Program to start in mid January! Current members are able to attend the Leadership Program (more details will be available shortly).
Summer practice sessions
If you will be around for the summer and wish to practice your tai chi, you are most welcome to get a group together to do so. The email list will be sent to all members (check your inbox!) and you can initiate a get-together of your own. Alternatively, please contact Brendan (brendan.whittingham[at]eng.monash.edu.au) to voice your interest. Please note that this will only be practice, not additional training!

All the best to those who have exams over the coming weeks - remember, tai chi relaxes! ;oP To all the very best and a safe and happy Christmas!

Warm wishes,
Marg :o)
