Enter our Club LOGO COMPETITION!!

OK, it's 2005, and it's time we brought Tai Chi to the people of today!!....Well, we can think big can't we?...!!

So, we would like a NEW TAI CHI LOGO to reflect the 21st century and that Tai Chi is alive and well!

Here are the competition instructions:

1. All Club members are eligible to submit a logo design
2. The logo design must be able to be used as black and white (or greyscale) for easy printing (but you can have a colour one too!)
3. You can submit as many designs as you like
4. Please submit logos in either JPG or GIF formats, or in hardcopy to an Office bearer
5. Club members will then vote via an online poll (on this blog) for their favourite logo
6. The most polled logo wins!
Here is a current logo...other logos can be seen in the training room on the cupboard door...

Here are some ideas that we think the logo should convey (to kickstart some of your design ideas):
A. tai chi promotes health and wellbeing
B. show tai chi as a way of life
C. tai chi has a long history, our style is Yang style
D. tai chi is for everyone, young and old
E. relax, be attentive and be confident
F. tai chi moves like weaving a silky cocoon
G. yin and yang, the foundations of tai chi
H. tai chi is life force, energy (ji, qi or chi)
I. the tai chi open hand

You have plenty of time to get your logo designs in...the competition will remain open up to end of Week 3 of semester 2, 2005. We'll put together a nice PRIZE for the winner too! :o)

Submit your logos in either of the following ways:

  1. email your designs to monashtaichi[at]yahoo.com.au (spam free - replace [at] with @!) as .jpg or .gif
  2. post your design as a comment on this blog site (you will need to have uploaded your design to a site you have that holds your images, etc, like free sites such as Photobucket or Flickr) or,
  3. the old fashioned way, hand your design to Marg, Anthony, Alvin, Brendan or Sven at training to be scanned and uploaded to this blog for voting!
All designs will be made available on this blog for voting. Keep checking back to this site for updates and new designs as they come in...!

Any questions, please talk to of the other office bearers! Good luck and we look forward to seeing your designs (how exciting!!)
